Admission to the Outsider Art Gallery and the Artotheek is free of charge.

Opening hours

Open daily: 10:00 - 17:00

25 December & 1 January the museum is open 12:00 – 17:00

Tickets can be bought online or at the museum until 16:00.

Museum Pass

You can buy a Museum Pass in the museum and use the card immediately.

I amsterdam City Card

The I amsterdam City Card can be purchased online. We also sell the card in our Museum Shop.

CJP

The CJP card can be bought online here.

H’ART Museum is located at Amstel 51.

Public transport

Tram 14: stop Waterlooplein 

Metro 51, 53 and 54: stop Waterlooplein.  Use exit Hortusplantsoen. 

Bicycle

H’ART Museum is easily accessible by bicycle. The nearest station where you can rent a public transport (OV) bicycle is Amsterdam Central or Amsterdam Amstel. Click here for more information. There are plenty of parking spaces for your bicycle near H’ART Museum.

Boat

Parking

A short walk from H’ART Museum you can find the parking garages Stadhuis/Muziektheater, Waterlooplein and Markenhoven

Car/bus/taxi

Cars, buses and taxis cannot stop in front of  of H’ART Museum. Are you being brought by car or taxi? Please use the address Nieuwe Keizersgracht 1, that will bring you to the  raised access pole, which it is a one-minute walk to the museum entrance.

Special Facilities

Wheelchair facilities
All rooms and facilities are wheelchair-friendly. There are three disabled toilets and three public lifts in the building. Due to limited availability, we recommend that you reserve our wheelchairs or walkers by sending an e-mail to mail@hartmuseum.nl.

Guide dogs  

Guide dogs wearing a harness are welcome in H’ART Museum. Other animals are unfortunately not allowed. 

Special parking spaces

 H’ART Museum has two disabled special parking spaces for people with a disability which can be reserved if you hold a disabled parking licence and the space is for your own car. To make a reservation, please send an e-mail to mail@hartmuseum.nl.

Please indicate: the date, (estimated) time of arrival and departure, licence plate number, and mobile phone number. This information will be used to make a reservation and send your confirmation e-mail. We cannot guarantee a spot.
