General questions

When is H'ART Museum open?

H’ART Museum is open daily from 10:00 – 17:00.

Where is H’ART Museum located?

H’ART Museum is located at Amstel 51.

How do I get to H'ART Museum?

H’ART Museum is easily accessible by foot, bicycle or public transport. Cars, buses and taxis cannot get to the immediate vicinity of H’ART Museum. Read more about your trip to H’ART Museum here.

What are the opening hours for the H'ART Museum Shop and H'ART Museum Grand Café?

H’ART Museum Shop is open daily from 10:30 – 17:00. H’ART Museum Grand Café and kiosk (weather permitting) are open daily from 10:00 -17:00.

The museum

Is there is a cloakroom where I can hang up my coat?

You can use the self-service lockers to store your belongings. The lockers are available free of charge.

Can I pay with cash in the museum?

We are a cashless museum and accept pin and creditcard payments.

Can I make use of the audio tour?

Yes, the audio tour is included with your ticket. You will find it at the entrance of the exhibition.

May I take photos in the museum?

Yes, photography is allowed in the museum but without flash and tripod. Press photographers and or film crews can request access via pressoffice@hartmuseum.nl.

May I bring my dog?

Unfortunately animals are not allowed, with the exception of guide dogs wearing harness.

Are there apecial facilities?

The museum is very accessible. All the galleries, lifts and other facilities are wheelchair-friendly for example, and there are three special toilets available. You can also book wheelchair and/or special parking via mail@hartmuseum.nl. Click here for more information.

There is also a room for nursing facilities.

E-tickets & orders

Is it necessary to buy tickets online before visiting?

The exhibitions are accessible with an e-ticket for a specific date and time. Tickets are also available at the museum, although we advise you to buy an e-ticket in advance on our website. Due to limited capacity, timeslots may be sold out. With an e-ticket, you are guaranteed a visit.

Can I still buy tickets at the ticket desk?

Yes, tickets can be bought at the museum. However, we advise you to buy an e-ticket on our website. This will ensure you have a place. Due to limited capacity, it is possible that certain timeslots may be sold out.

I have bought a ticket, but I cannot come after all.

If this happens, please let us know on time so that another visitor can make use of your time slot, even if you have a Museum Pass or VriendenLoterij VIP-KAART. Would you prefer to come on a different day? If so, we would be happy to help you rebook your ticket. You can contact us via 020 530 8755 or shop@hartmuseum.nl (during office hours from 9:00 – 17:00.

We do not refund purchased tickets.

Is it possible to transfer my e-ticket(s) to another date/time?

Yes, that is possible. Please contact shop@hartmuseum.nl for this. Please include your e-ticket and the new (desired) date + time for your visit.

My e-ticket shows a timeslot. What does ‘entry between’ mean?

This means you can enter between the two times specified. Unfortunately, entry cannot be guaranteed if you arrive later or earlier than the chosen timeslot.

Did you order an e-ticket but not receive an e-mail?

Please check your spam box or junk mail. If the e-mail cannot be found there either, please contact us at mail@hartmuseum.nl. We will be happy to help you.

Did you order a ticket and receive an e-mail but without an attachment?

Please contact us at mail@hartmuseum.nl. Are you coming to visit the exhibition on the same day you ordered your ticket? Then you can come to our ticket desk. The staff there will be happy to help you. Please make sure you can show them the e-mail.

Is it necessary to print the e-ticket(s)?

It is not necessary to print. E-tickets can also be scanned from smartphones.

Can ordered e-tickets be returned?

Unfortunately we do not refund tickets ordered online.

Groups & Families

Groups

Groups are most welcome. Guided tours of up to 15 people per group are also possible.

Our guided tours are provided by Noud Tekst & Uitleg. Please email info@noudtekstuitleg.nl to book a guided tour. Please mention the number of people, the desired date and time of the tour(s).

Practical information

Duration: 1 hour

Number: max 15 persons per guided tour*

Cost: €100 (excluding VAT, €121 including VAT)

Please note that tickets are excluded in the guided tour.

Families

H’ART Museum is a wonderful venue for family outings and for children. Many of the exhibitions also include a fun, complimentary treasure hunt for the whole family. You can also visit our family studios, attend one of our family workshops, or host a children’s party!

We provide unforgettable children’s parties for children aged 6 to 12. The party includes a guided tour of the exhibition, a workshop in one of our workshops and a present for the birthday boy or girl. We provide lemonade and a small snack. If you want to bring something else tasty yourself, please let us know in advance.

Practical information:

Wednesdays or weekends

Maximum 12 children including the birthday child

€ 180 (including entrance, guided tour, workshop, lemonade and cake and a present for the birthday child)
