Randal Corsen

On Sunday 28 June, Jazz @ H’ART will be entirely dedicated to Keti Koti. A special afternoon where music and conversations come together. We celebrate the richness of Curaçaoan culture with a special program full of jazz, rhythm, and reflection.

Centered for the event is a performance by composer and pianist Randal Corsen. His music brings the warm, layered sounds of Curaçao to the our museum garden. Additionally, DJ Lele will provide tropical sounds that give the afternoon a festive character.

Prior to the concert, theater maker Anton de Bies will engage in a conversation about the meaning of Keti Koti and the lasting impact of the history of slavery on Curaçao in the present. De Bies previously created a play about resistance leader Tula and is considered an important voice within this societal and cultural dialogue.
