About Umut Veysel Demirtaş
The 25-year-old Umut Veysel Demirtaş is a classical composer and pianist. In addition to his artistic career, he works at the Concertgebouw. He studied composition in Graz, Austria, and has performed in prestigious venues such as Felix Meritis, Beurs van Berlage, TivoliVredenburg, and the Concertgebouw.
His work is characterized by an intriguing fusion of classical and contemporary influences, in which his Turkish heritage resonates in subtle yet powerful ways. Through his compositions, Umut aims to foster connection and bring people together through the universal language of music.
