An additional surcharge applies to the Chez Matisse exhibition on top of the regular admission fee. On this page, you can find more information about the surcharge and who it applies to.
Why is there a surcharge?
The exhibition brings together exceptional international loans and is costly to realise. The surcharge makes it possible to present this unique Matisse exhibition in the Netherlands.
The surcharge of € 7 applies to:
- Adult (18 years and above)
- Museum Pass
- I amsterdam City Card/Go City
- Uitpas
A reduced surcharge of € 3.50 applies to:
- CJP/Student
The surcharge does not apply to:
- Youth (up to 17 years)
- VriendenLoterij VIP-KAART
- Stadspas
- ICOM
- H’ART Museum Members

If you are using a reduced surcharge or are exempt from the surcharge, please bring the relevant pass or card with you.
Validity of your surcharge
The surcharge is linked to your ticket and is valid for one visit to the Chez Matisse exhibition on the selected date and entry time.
